   Dark Spots, Anyone?!        Benefits of Kojic Acid
KOJIC ACID is used for reducing the appearance of dark spots, it's often considered an alternative to hydroquinone.

The appearance of dark spots can be caused from acne scars, appear over the entire body - underarms, inner thighs, under eyes & more 

This mushroom extract is an extremely popular skin lightening treatment. Many use it for overall skin whitening for pigmentation problems.

How is it used?
Kojic acid products are most often applied to the skin topically, in the form of a cream, lotion, or serum. The usual recommended dosage of kojic acid is relatively small, often with a maximum concentration of 1%. However to decrease the chances of side effects, most skin lightening products use a concentration closer to 0.2%. Of course, one must also take into consideration how this skin lightening treatment will react with their individual body. Those who experience sensitivity may need to apply it less frequently and re-evaluate their usage.

A Brazilian Wax is simply a more defined bikini wax that leaves a landing strip of hair as thin or as thick as you prefer but opting to have everything removed isn't anything out of the ordinary.

Don’t let anxieties or first time jitters overshadow the many benefits of a Brazilian Wax. Here is what you need to know before you dare to go bare!



Before You Brazilian:

Allow your hair to grow at least 1/4 of an inch long. To alleviate pain use scissors to trim hair to avoid pain during application of wax. Schedule your appointment the weeks after your period – your skin is more sensitive the week before and not recommended and/or provided during.



What to expect During Your Brazilian:

For comfort and privacy large disposable bikini bottom are worn. The design of the disposable bikini allows the Spa Technician to adjust the bikini to expose un-waxed areas as necessary. While on the massage table only one leg is bent inward and exposed at a time while the other leg is draped with a towel and in a normal position. Hair is removed in sections until the desired shape is reached. The service is complimented with soothing cool compresses and essential oils to calm the skin.



Hard Wax vs. Strip Wax:

Strip wax is the traditional wax used by most. Hard wax requires no strip and was created for more intimates areas – bikini, eyebrow, underarm, lip and chin. Unlike strip wax, hard wax doesn’t adhere to the skin, alleviating pain associated with strips pulling at the skin.

Stress in any form always engages your body, mind, and spirit. We are mentally capable of handling high energy situations - excitement and danger - but anything beyond those points lead to stress. We all have experienced stress – heavy work load, media influences and lack of sleep – but we lack the knowledge of preventing and treating stress.
